Skiing, Snowboarding or Cross Country Skiing in Gastein
The Gastein winter sport region, with its 201km of prepared pistes and heights of upto 2600 meters, is one of the largest and most beautiful ski regions in Austria. From November until Spring, it offers the perfect ski experience for all levels of skiers.
Choose between the Schlossalm pistes, directly by the hotel, the Stubnerkogel-Angertal-Schlossalm interconnected ski areas or Dorfgastein-Großarl area, Graukogel or the high lying Sportgastein ski area.
The Gastein ski region is high lying, but is also equipted with the most uptodate atrificial snow making facilities, guaranteeing ski fun from November through to April, with plenty of off piste routes to attract tour skiiers.
Cross Country Skiing
Breathe in the chrystal clear mountain air, and enjoy the wonderful scenery as you ski across country on Gasteins 90km of prepared tracks – the “Achenloipe” beginning almost right from the front door of the hotel is only one of them! Cross country skiing fun is also guaranteed until spring in Sport Gastein: on a snow secure high track 1,600 metres above sea level. A truly special highlight – in the truest sense of the word – is the floodlit track in Bad Gastein (Böckstein District).
