Qi Gong with Elisabeth, our fully qualified Qi Gong-teacher
QI GONG is a 4000 year old chinese exercise method, suitable for people of all ages. It works on relaxing the muscles, increasing mobility, regulating blood pressure, increasing the immune system, balance, stress management and general possitive sense of wellbeing.
Morning Gymnastics
Exactly the right excercise, not too strenuous and easy on the joints, to bring yourself into the swing of the day.
Nordic Walking in the healthy Gastein enviroment
Easy and quick to learn, Nordic walking whilst good for everyone, is ideal for people with knee and back problems. It relaxes muscles in the shoulder and neck area, increases heart and blood circulation, and is a great way to loose weight. Using the walking stocks correctly can increase the benefits by upto 50%.
Hiking with your host to age old alpine huts
Enjoy the experience of our weekly guided walking tour with your hostess Elizabeth Weichenberger, though the fascinating flora and fauna of the Gastein valley and the atmospheric alpine huts with their tasty regional specialities.
Biking and Mountain Biking
At Hotel St Georg we offer free bike hire, so go ahead and explore the beautiful Gastein valley on two wheels, either alone or join a tourist board organised bike tourl.
Alpine Excercise in the Gastein Mountains
At an altitude of 830 to 1600m above sea level, Gastein is the El Dorado of walking, around 120km through eleven well marked mountain routes. Open in winter too, these routes offer all variations of walking challenges, from a gentle stroll to more diffficult hikes.
