With its 3’798 m of altitude, the Grossglockner mountain is not only the highest mountain in Austria, it is also one of the highest in the Alps. The famous Alpenstrasse (Alpine Road) ends just before the jewel of the Hohe Tauern National Park: the highest mountain and largest glacier (Pasterze) of Austria.

Liechtensteinklamm (Liechtenstein gorge)

The roaring waterfalls and the rapid masses of water have cut ever deeper into the gorge over the centuries. Already in 1875, this gorge was made accessible to the public thanks to a donation from the Prince of Liechtenstein.

Krimmler Wasserfälle (Krimmler waterfalls)

With a total height of 380 m, the Krimmler waterfalls are counted among the world’s highest and most impressive waterfalls. Experience the refreshing drizzle and the impressive power of the water in the middle of the picturesque Hohe Tauern National Park.

Erlebnisburg Hohenwerfen (Hohenwerfen castle experience)

The "veritable bulwark in the Salzach Valley". A mighty fortified castle of the high clergy of the 11th century.

Eisriesenwelt Werfen (Werfen ice cave)

The Eisriesenwelt close to Werfen in Pongau is part of the limestone massif of the Tennen mountains and is, with 40 km in length and 30’000 m2 of ground ice, the largest ice cave in the world.
